Major Job Responsibilities -Interact with customer and project team members to help clarify design concepts and GD&T requirements. -Develop 3D models based on product engineer concepts or customer requests. Develop designs based on well defined understanding of templates and design guidelines required by the customer. -Prepare 2D models or exports for helping purchasing quote components in the very early stages of the process. -Evaluate the design adherence to customer specs and conceptual design. -Communicate with the CAE team and product engineer to assess the required design steps to improve the design. -Participate in development of new technology. -Help build-up a strong engineering team. Major Job Qualifications Experience/Education (Required/Preferred) Education -Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Experience -Background in CAD design, automotive component experience, familiar with design standards and GD/T. Some expertise in all these fields is required -Experience in using Siemens NX5. Language-Fluent English Computer-Computer knowledge (MS Office software is requirement). Preferred able to professionally use word-processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) and presentation packages (Microsoft Powerpoint) for communication Technical Skill-Good understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing processes and documentations. Soft Skill-Good communication skills with customers and internally. -Excellent disposition towards teamwork Others-Be able to travel as required.
