The Bohemian trend was certainly present at NSS though I believe it has more to do with the peace, love, rock and female empowerment vibes than seeing any real progression in
the trend. Colors were either vibrant and primary with pops of hot pink or soft and pastel, with nothing in between. Embroidery or the look of embroidery printed, hands, birds, vibrant flowers, geometrics, mandala’s and batik encapsulate the art represented in this trend. Items shown in this trend include paper and stationery, pillows, pouches, tea towels, and small home accessories. Softer, mindful sentiments are often paired with this trend.

The pastel palette and art in Bohemian appears to have taken over the Romantic trend that was shown in years past. The audience for this trend is limited and perhaps too
pattern-heavy to appeal to all ages. This trend tends to attract the female millennial though more forward trends often appeal to millennials more than Bohemian. I recommend any future development using this trend be focused and minimal and primarily utilize the pastels and geometrics with pops of floral. The Botanical and Bold Floral Brights trends have a great lead over this trend and will take up most of its market share, though there is still a customer out there for this trend.
